A very scarce long sleeve by Rick Owens. Featuring a quote from American Civil War General William Tecumseh Sherman. The quote “Leave them only their eyes to weep with…” was said in regards to the civilian population of the South following Sherman's declaration of total war. From this moment on, his army took a "scorched earth" policy, focusing not only on military objectives but also industry, civilian infrastructure, and civilian property. This quote symbolizes an extreme of human nature, an intent of complete destruction of a society for a lasting peace.

It is also worth noting that this quote is also attributed to Philip Henry Sheridan in his advice to Otto Von Bismark during the Franco-Prussian War.
